Joe Malmuth is Chief Development Officer at Batteries Plus, the battery, light bulb, and device-repair franchise, where he leads the brand's franchise growth and development. He joined Batteries Plus in 2020 as Managing Director of Franchise Development and moved through Vice President of Franchise Development and Relations and Chief Franchising Officer before being named Chief Development Officer in February 2024. Before Batteries Plus he was Vice President of Franchise Relations at My Eyelab and spent six years at United Franchise Group, including as Regional Vice President of the Carolinas; he is a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) and sits on the board of advisors of the Yum! Center for Global Franchise Excellence at the University of Louisville.
